Anurag Shukla is an independent trader and the creator of SpreadGravity™, a market-analysis framework developed through more than a decade of direct experience in financial markets.

His trading journey has been built primarily through live market observation, experimentation, mistakes, adaptation and continuous refinement. His focus is on understanding relationships between assets, particularly relative movement, spread behaviour, divergence, mean reversion, hedging and the combined behaviour of paired positions.

SpreadGravity™ is the result of this journey — an attempt to transform years of market experience into a structured analytical approach for studying relationships between markets.

Before entering the world of financial markets, Anurag served for two decades in the Indian Air Force, where he handled responsibilities involving security, investigation, counter-intelligence, cybersecurity, IT security and personnel management.

He holds qualifications in Law and Business Administration (HR) and has received specialised training in cybersecurity, cybercrime investigation and computer networking.

This professional background developed a strong foundation of discipline, analytical thinking, observation and decision-making under pressure — qualities that later became equally important in his approach to trading.

Anurag believes there is a fundamental difference between knowing about trading and actually learning to trade.

Books and courses can provide knowledge, but the market provides something different: experience and consequences.

His own education has come largely from the market itself — through observation, execution, mistakes, losses, testing and adaptation.

SEBI data shows that roughly 91% of individual F&O traders incurred losses in FY2024–25.
